Sometimes Yonge & Eglinton is its own little world. Anyone who has lived or worked in the area knows that there’s a certain type of person that graces our awesome neighbourhood with their presence. You’ve probably seen them around more than a handful of times, or maybe you are one of them – who knows.
Anyway, next time you’re in the neighbourhood keep your eyes peeled for these 5 kinds of people you see at Yonge & Eglinton:
The spandex-clad men and women of Yonge and Eglinton are usually running off to a yoga class of some sort at Yoga Tree or Fireflow Yoga. We like to stay zen up here. There’s a Lululemon just up the street on Yonge too – how convenient.
The Lost Puppy
Yep. We’ve all seen ‘em. People who have never ventured north of Bloor before and have come to Yonge and Eglinton only to realize that there are things happening in Midtown too! You can usually spot them looking up in wonder, or asking for directions.
The City Slicker
The dead giveaway for our city slicker is a suit, tie, and iPhone in hand. These guys always look like they’re busy or in a hurry but can’t help but be the most stylish kids on the block.
The Dog Walker
Yonge and Eglinton has a crazy amount of dogs in the area and if you’re there during the day you’re bound to spot a dog walker or two. You’ll recognize them because they’re holding upwards of five leashes at a time and still look casual.
The “I Just Work Here” Person
Typical desk jockey working for one of the many corporate headquarters in the area. You can typically find them sprinting to Eglinton Station to make the train back to the suburbs before it gets too crowded on the Yonge line.
